Stella Ioannou was invited by City Architecture Forum to join a lively discussion exploring the dynamic relationship between art and architecture in the public realm on Wednesday 4th December.
As Artistic Director at Sculpture in the City, Stella explored ideas about public art in dialogue with architecture, as well as activating the City and engaging a variety of audiences.
Chaired by Michael Cassidy, Stella was joined by Principal of Eric Parry Architects, Eric Parry, who discussed the way that art can be a part of the body of a building and affect its design; and International Art Curator for Deutsche Bank, Mary Findlay, who explored how commissioning art has a profound and positive effect on the occupiers and users of the space.
