Stella Ioannou, Lacuna’s Founding Director, was invited by Tate+Co to join a panel discussion and lively debate at The Building Society on Tuesday 1st October.
Chaired by Jerry Tate, Founder and Director at Tate+Co, the debate commenced with the simple question “What is culture?” and looked at how we make the spaces that support culture in our urban environment, both broadly and of specific communities.
Stella was joined by fellow panellists Olu Alake, CEO, The Africa Centre; Stephen Feber, Museum Director, Londoner and founder of cultural institutions within regeneration strategies; Katherine McAlpine, Director, The Brunel Museum; Nick Searl, Executive Director, Related Argent; and Manijeh Verghese, Director, Sphere Spaces and CEO, Open City.
