Artist Vanessa da Silva describes her sculptures Muamba Grove 0 Hue 31 & #2 in a state of transformation and a state of in-between with movement and the body at the centre. The artworks explore the artist’s own history and invite the viewer to do the same.
Dance Mama led participants through joyful & accessible movement classes, suitable for beginners and those more advanced (inclusive for those on their perinatal journey/pregnant & postnatal), inspired by Da Silva’s sculptures Muamba Grove 0 Hue #1 & #2 sited at Saint Botolph without Bishopsgate Churchyard.
These free sessions were ideal for a quick break from the office, conveniently programmed over a lunch time, led by experienced Dance Artist, Laura Harvey. A perfect opportunity for gentle movement and exploration of the artworks and yourself.
