Aldgate in Winter Festival returned for its seventh year, delivered by Aldgate Connect BID and produced by Lacuna for the second year running.
The festival saw the return of favourites including the Lantern Parade, Community Feast, creative workshops and live performances on the Aldgate Stage. All activities were free and everyone was welcome.
A new addition to the 2023 programme was Postcards from Aldgate, a programme that connected the local community through lovingly designed postcards and written messages, randomly distributed to residents of Aldgate.
The local community took part in creative workshops through December to design the postcards to be distributed to local residents. Each postcard maker was photographed with their postcard, and these photographs formed the Postcards from Aldgate Exhibition. The sessions were delivered in collaboration with London Metropolitan University, by student-artist and designer, Mrs Blues, and student-photgraphers.
